Kids Play Early Learning

Leaps and Bounds has been serving the Wilsonton community and surrounding suburbs for over 30 years and has therefore been a pivotal part of the community during this time.

Leaps and Bounds has been serving the Wilsonton community and surrounding suburbs for over 30 years and has therefore been a pivotal part of the community during this time.

Leaps and Bounds strive for excellence and the educators always listen to the needs of their families as they are embarking on trust to care for their precious children.

The Leaps and Bounds Educators were lucky enough to be selected to be a part of the Playing with Gratitude Project that was founded in 2017. This project has now become an every day part of the lives of the Educators, children and families that attend Leaps and Bounds. WHY: Due to a heightened level of stress, anxiety and depression in corporate and education settings both with adults and children, it became apparent that everyone’s well being need investment. The aim of the project was to purposefully create opportunities for wellbeing to flourish through playing with gratitude. Research has now proven that the Implications of Gratitude has positive effects psychologically, emotionally and physically. Researcher, Rothenberg defined gratitude as “a social-emotional process that results in a sense of happiness, joy or appreciation due to receiving something based not on one’s own efforts but rather on the giver’s free and unrestricted intentions to give (2016).

The gratitude project has really strengthened the relationships between educators, children and families at our service and we are so grateful that we were able to take part in such a positive project which is now embedded in our daily life.

Leaps and Bounds is situated next to a luscious parkland that complements the existing natural playspace. Our playground is large and spacious with a great array of lush green grass for children to play on. Our building has a large verandah that overlooks our natural playground, so it is the perfect spot to extend our indoor play on raining days.

Even though our centre is small it is packed full of excitement, learning and wondrous areas to explore. We pride ourselves on offering the children a rich and stimulating environment, so we are always listening to their interests and ideas.

We have a unique architecture within the building which adds to our homelike feel and creates a real sense of belonging.

We have a wonderful Early Childhood Teacher running our Kindergarten program who dedicates many hours to ensuring that our children are prep-ready.

All our Lead Educators are dedicated to providing the best possible caref our children and they strive to provide the children the best opportunities to reach great outcomes. Each day children have the opportunity to explore their environment in which they can learn, play, develop, create, investigate and play.
